PRS Foundation – Talent Development Network
The Talent Development Network will support and bring together organisations working at the frontline of music talent development across the UK – ensuring transformational support is available to a broad range of music creators based in the UK working at any career level and in any genre. Organisations selected for the Network will be able to access grant support of up to £25,000 per year and join a network of like-minded organisations for Phase 1 of the initiative (2024-27). Multi-year funding will be available where applicants can demonstrate clear, tangible creative, career and professional outcomes.

Women Make Music supports the development of outstanding women, trans and non binary songwriters and composers of all genres and backgrounds at different stages of their career. Bloomberg Philanthropies – Digital Accelerator for Arts and Culture
The Digital Accelerator provides funding, usually up to £150k but in occasionally more, for expert technical assistance, and leadership development over two years to strengthen the digital infrastructure of non-profit cultural organisations with the principal goals of growing revenue, increasing fundraising, engaging audiences, improving operations, and developing programming opportunities. Applicant organisations must have an annual turnover of at least £500k.

PRS Foundation – Power Up
POWER UP is an ambitious, long-term initiative which supports Black music creators and industry professionals and executives, as well as addressing anti-Black racism and racial disparities in the music sector.
Through a holistic POWER UP Participant Programme and the POWER UP Movement, the aim is to break down barriers to create:
- A fairer, more equitable music industry for Black creators and industry professionals
- Better representation in all sectors of the UK music industry
- To support innovative and exciting Black talent to create exceptional new music in all genres and at all career levels
- To amplify the work of Black creators and industry professionals to accelerate change

The Fat Beehive Foundation – digital funding for small charities
Charities with an average income of less than £400,000 a year can apply for funding of up to £2,500 to help them improve their online digital presence. Eligible projects include building websites and apps, digitising services, and purchasing digital products. Each quarter there is a different priority for support.

PRS Foundation – Composers’ Fund
An opportunity for composers with a strong track record, giving direct access to funding at pivotal stages in their career.
A contribution of up to £8,000 – £15,000 is available to composers who are already making a significant cultural contribution in the UK and have the potential for greater impact in the UK and overseas. Previous projects have included recordings, the promotion and performance of existing works, international co-commissions and development, performer collaboration, residencies, sabbaticals or childcare costs and project or promotional support.

Hadrian Trust
Grants are to help social welfare and charitable organisations working to improve the lives of people in the North East of England. Grants are normally between £500 and £2,000. Applications are considered for running costs, project costs, part salaries and basic equipment under a range of headings including:
Projects that promote the use of the arts to develop community cohesion
Activities that bring people together to appreciate music, drama and dance
Community based projects that aim to enhance people’s understanding and enjoyment of the arts

PRS Foundation – The Open Fund for Music Creators
The Open Fund for Music Creators supports the development of outstanding music creators of all genres and backgrounds at different stages of their career with grants of up to £5000.
Projects must fulfil all three funding priorities:

- To enable the UK’s most talented music creators to realise their potential
- To reach audiences

Arts Council England – Developing your Creative Practice
Funding to support individuals who are cultural and creative practitioners and want to take time to focus on their creative development. Eligible applications will include development activities in combined arts, dance, literature, music, theatre, visual arts, libraries or museums, for example undertaking a period of research, networking, or time to create new work. You can apply for grants of between £2,000 and £12,000.

The Hitmaker Fund offers an opportunity for songwriters and producers working in popular music genres to further develop their careers and writing/production with grants of between £5,000 – £10,000.

The Allan Lane Foundation – Young People’s Programme
The Allan Lane Foundation’s Young People’s Programme is aimed at disadvantaged and marginalised young people aged 12-21 who are experiencing or may have already suffered significant issues within their lives. Local community-led grassroots groups and organisations supporting young people who are facing difficult challenges and barriers to accessing support and opportunities can apply. This includes organisations working with young people within the criminal justice system or those at risk of offending, looked after children or care leavers, those with significant mental health concerns or complex needs, or those whose experiences could seriously impact their transition into adulthood.
Grant applications are considered by trustees three times a year, generally in
February, June and October.

PRS Foundation – Beyond Borders
Beyond Borders stimulates and strengthens cross-border collaborations between music creators, performers and presenters. It supports the creation, touring and promotion of innovative and high-quality new music across all genres and encourages engagement with audiences across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland through multiple performances and digital activity.
Funding of up to £15,000 is available for projects that include new commissions, recordings and repeat performances of music written in the past five years.

The Linbury Trust – The Theatres Trust’s Small Grants Programme
Grants of up to £5,000 are available for non-profit theatres for projects to ensure their future viability and success. Funds can be used for essential small capital works, digital upgrades, and crucial machinery installations.

Youth Music – NextGen Fund
The Youth Music NextGen Fund is for early-stage musicians and wider music adjacent creatives to invest up to £2,500 in their own projects and make their ideas happen. The fund is especially aimed at those whose lack of finance holds them back from pursuing their goals and is open to 18–25-year-olds (and up to 30-year-olds who identify as d/Deaf or Disabled). It will support singers, rappers, songwriters, producers, DJs, A&Rs, managers and agents, right through to roles that have yet to be defined.

PRS Foundation – Resonate
Resonate is a fund and resource which encourages professional orchestras to programme into their repertoire the best pieces of British music from the past 25 years. It aims to inspire more performances, recordings and broadcasts of outstanding contemporary repertoire, as chosen by UK orchestras, whilst strengthening approaches to programming this music for the benefit of audiences, composers and players in the UK and overseas. Grants of up to 10K are available to orchestras who commit to exploring contemporary UK repertoire as part of a season/tour and longer-term audience development programme.

The International Showcase Fund (ISF) offers grants of up to £5,500 for international export opportunities for UK-based artists, bands, songwriters and producers who have been invited to perform or create new music at international industry facing showcasing festivals, song writing camps or conferences.

Sir James Knott Trust – grants for projects that benefit the North East communities
Grants are available to charities, community groups and social enterprises that can demonstrate that their aims have public benefit in the North East. Special consideration will be given to charitable activities that are known to have been of interest to Sir James Knott including: military and maritime organisations; youth clubs; projects to help the elderly; education and training.
The trust operates on a rolling grants programme.

Architectural Heritage Fund – Project Viability Grants
The Architectural Heritage Fund (AHF), which supports the conservation and sustainable re-use of historic buildings, has launched a new grants programme to help charities and social enterprises in the early stages of planning to restore and re-use historic buildings.
The Project Viability Grants, of up to £10,000, can be used to meet fees for initial surveys, designs, and costings, advice on legal and governance matters, and help with outline business planning, market testing, and fundraising strategies.
Priority projects include those that involve the new use of a vacant historic building, help revive high streets, are in the top 30% most deprived areas, involve and support communities traditionally underrepresented among heritage asset owners, have a strong focus on environmental sustainability and energy efficiency, and contribute to local regeneration schemes.

Art Fund – Student opportunities
Harness the talent of university students to help realise a project at your museum or gallery. Apply for a grant to pay the students and receive support in recruiting candidates from our network of students.
Applications of up to £10,000 will be considered on a rolling basis.

BFI National Lottery Audience Projects Fund
Apply for support for ambitious, audience-facing independent UK and international film and broader screen activity of national scale to increase audience choice and engagement. Eligible projects include: marketing initiatives; immersive installations and tours; and touring projects.
Awards will be made of up to £200,000 for multi-year and short-term projects (up to £500,000 for exceptional projects), as well as grants of up to £20,000 for research and development.
Applications will be accepted all year round but must be submitted 16 weeks before the start of any funded activity.

Esmée Fairbairn Foundation – Fairer Future Fund (UK)
The Esmée Fairbairn Foundation has reopened their Fairer Future grants stream for applications.
The funding supports projects that tackle injustice and structural inequality to create a more inclusive society, with a focus on five priority areas: arts and creativity making change; children and young people’s rights; gender justice; migrant justice; racial justice.
The majority of grants are for three years or longer and can cover project and core costs. Registered charities can also apply for unrestricted grants.
No application deadline has been indicated – applications can be submitted at any time.

Help Musicians – funding for skills development
Help Musicians, an independent UK charity for professional musicians is making grants of up to £1,500 available for development of skills or artistic practice. Funding is available to help solo artists, composers, group members, songwriters, producers or multidisciplinary artists aged 18 and over with no significant backing to reinvigorate and sustain their careers as music creators.
